M29 Late Weimar period - laming ball Reichsmarine officer's dagger made by Hörster
The M29 Naval officer's dagger was instituted by the Weimar Republic on June 5, 1929. It was worn without any modification by Kriegsmarine officers until the beginning of 1938, where the flaming ball pommel was replaced with the Kriegsmarine eagle pommel.
The dagger is in very impressive condition, with all metal pieces still fully gold-gilded. The grip is ivory colored and uncracked. It features a hammered scabbard with scabbard screw present. The clean steel blade has naval motifs etched on both sides. The dagger is complete with a silver-colored silver wire portepee and hangers.
The expertise was carried out by a well-known expert in this field - Ralf Siegert.
