This example is very attractive 1st Model Naval Dagger with two scabbards. Hammered Scabbard exactly its own original scabbard. But, due to damage (dent in the central part), the owner completed the dagger with other scabbards. The second ones have a design of the 1938 model. The patina of all the parts and the second scabbard is absolutely identical, instead of the earlier ones which have a difference in shade with the crossguard and pommel. Therefore, we can conclude that the dagger was used for wearing with the second scabbard, and the first ones were kept as a "spare". One way or another, but the dagger was bought with two scabbards and an original pendant from the early period. Based on the shape of the blade and the stamp, we can assume that the dagger is from the early period of production. It is even possible that its original owner served in the navy of the Weimar Republic.
The blade of this example is in very good condition being a fouled double etched motif. The blade's reverse ricasso is maker marked Alcoso Solingen. The blade buffer is in position.
Rare example with unusual complect.
