This 2nd Model Luftwaffe Funeral Dagger, produced by Robert Klaas and is in EXC++ condition overall. Model 1937. The total length is 43.1 cm. The Dagger has the maker mark on the blade: Robert Klaas Solingen. This Klaas produced 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger is complete with the black grip that we see very rarely on Klaas made Army and Luftwaffe daggers.

Grip: The grip of this dagger is a beauty. The pommel and crossguard are in exceptional condition. The pommel has good pebble patterns behind the oak leaves, which nicely set off the mobile swastikas on each side of this mount. This black celluloid grip is in absolute perfect condition, and is wrapped with twisted aluminum wire. .

Blade: The blade is a fine example, showing a few runner marks, and modest of aging. Overall, this blade easily grades in extremely fine condition retaining its sharp tip. The reverse ricasso is stamped with the kissing cranes trademark, beneath which appears the maker name and location "ROBERT KLAAS SOLINGEN". The original brown pebbled blade buffer is in place.

Scabbard: The scabbard is a matching airplane gray variety, being straight throughout, and having good pebbled surfaces. The throat is retained by a single side screw (missing the other), being the headless flush mount type.
